South Coast Tour
This private tour combines Iceland’s famous South Coast with one of the country’s most exciting adventures — a glacier hike.
Your journey begins with pickup in Reykjavík by your private driver-guide. As you travel along Iceland’s southern coastline, the landscape quickly changes into dramatic cliffs, volcanic fields, and green farmland surrounded by glaciers and volcanoes.
The first stop is Seljalandsfoss waterfall, one of the most photographed waterfalls in Iceland. A pathway allows visitors to walk behind the waterfall for a unique perspective.
Just nearby is Gljúfrabúi, a hidden waterfall partially concealed inside a narrow canyon. This magical spot is often missed by many visitors but is one of the hidden gems of the South Coast.
Next, you will visit the powerful Skógafoss waterfall, where glacial water drops from a 60-meter cliff. On sunny days, rainbows frequently appear in the mist rising from the waterfall.
The adventure continues at Sólheimajökull glacier, an outlet glacier of the mighty Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Here you will meet professional glacier guides who will provide safety equipment and prepare you for your glacier hike.
During the guided glacier hike, you will walk across ancient ice, explore crevasses and ice formations, and learn about the glacier’s formation and movement. It is a truly unforgettable experience that allows you to step onto Iceland’s frozen landscapes.
After the glacier adventure, the tour continues along the coast to the dramatic Reynisfjara black sand beach, famous for its basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves.
Before returning to Reykjavík, you will stop in the charming village of Vík, where you can enjoy scenic views, take photos, and relax after an adventurous day.
