Throughout the journey we travel across vast lava fields created by ancient volcanic eruptions, covered with moss and shaped by centuries of wind and weather.

Kirkjufell Mountain

Often called the most photographed mountain in Iceland, Kirkjufell is famous for its unique arrow-shaped peak rising above the surrounding landscape. The mountain gained worldwide recognition after appearing in the TV series Game of Thrones.

Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall

Located just in front of Kirkjufell Mountain, this beautiful waterfall creates one of the most iconic photo compositions in Iceland. From this viewpoint you can capture the waterfall with the dramatic mountain rising behind it.

Djúpalónssandur Black Beach

A striking black pebble beach surrounded by lava formations. Here you can also see the famous “lifting stones” once used by fishermen to test their strength.

Lóndrangar Basalt Cliffs

Two impressive basalt sea stacks rising dramatically from the ocean, believed to be the remains of an ancient volcanic crater. This area offers incredible views of the coastline and the surrounding lava fields.

Arnarstapi Coastal Cliffs

A charming fishing village known for its dramatic basalt cliffs, natural arches and rich birdlife. The coastal walk here offers some of the most beautiful ocean views on the peninsula.

Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge

A narrow and mysterious canyon hidden in the mountains, where a small path leads inside the gorge between steep rock walls. It is a unique place connected to Icelandic folklore and legends.

Búðakirkja Black Church

A famous black wooden church surrounded by lava fields, one of the most photographed locations on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The contrast between the dark church, moss-covered lava and the glacier in the distance makes it a truly iconic stop.

Ytri-Tunga Seal Beach

One of the few golden sand beaches in Iceland and a popular spot to observe seals resting on the coastal rocks. With a bit of luck, we may see several seals swimming or sunbathing near the shore.
