This private tour combines the stunning landscapes of Iceland’s South Coast with an exciting ATV adventure on the black sand plains of Sólheimasandur.
Your journey begins with pickup in Reykjavík before heading along Iceland’s famous South Coast route.
The first stop is the iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where a walking path allows visitors to walk behind the waterfall for a truly unique experience.
Nearby you can also visit Gljúfrabúi, a hidden waterfall partially concealed inside a narrow canyon.
Next, the tour continues to the powerful Skógafoss waterfall, where glacial water drops 60 meters from a wide cliff. On sunny days, rainbows frequently appear in the mist rising from the waterfall.
The adventure continues near Sólheimajökull glacier, where you will join a guided ATV tour across the vast Sólheimasandur black sand plains.
During the ride, you will explore the dramatic volcanic desert landscape, ride across black sand fields, and enjoy views of glaciers, mountains, and the Atlantic coastline.
After the ATV adventure, the tour continues toward the coast to visit Dyrhólaey peninsula, offering panoramic views of cliffs, sea stacks, and the famous natural rock arch.
You will then visit Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, one of Iceland’s most iconic locations, known for its basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves.
Before returning to Reykjavík, you will stop in the charming village of Vík, where you can relax, take photos, and enjoy views of Iceland’s southern coastline.
